Too Much Fun With Water!
Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire is a remake of the third generation Pokemon title, Pokemon Sapphire and it's thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end!
The story is mostly the same as the original Pokemon Sapphire game, at least up to a certain point and the gameplay formula has been changed to be more like Pokemon X & Y. Pokemon Amie has returned from the newer games along with the Super Trainer PokeNav app! Mega Evolutions have been added to the game as well with nearly four dozen Mega Pokemon this time around! Horde battles and Sky Battles have also returned from X & Y!
Pokemon Contests now play a much bigger role in this game and your trainer will now receive a costume and Pokeblocks from Lisia in Slateport City! Another new addition is a certain cosplaying pokemon that can dress up for the contests and gains one of a kind moves based on the costume it's wearing! These new features are terrific and really add to the game!
Trading of course is back and better than ever with tons of options to trade your pokemon for more unique additions to your team! Secret Bases from the Hoenn region are back and now they have online functionality as well as tons of new features to enjoy including pokemon battles capturing base flags etc.
New features include Mirage Islands where you can find rare and legendary pokemon and items. The new Horde Trainer Battles pit you up against five trainer pokemon which are generally more powerful than random horde encounters. There's a new story arc after defeating the regional champion as well!
One downside is there are a tad too many water type pokemon in this game, compared to the other pokemon types, but it isn't much of an issue in our opinion! The controls in Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire are very easy to learn and are quite intuitive and the game's difficulty level isn't too hard or easy!
The graphics have been greatly improved as they look "almost" as good as Pokemon X & Y, and the music is just as superb as it was in Pokemon X & Y! Overall the game is nearly perfect in every aspect so you should purchase this game if you haven't already.
Bottom-Line:
With superb gameplay and story, incredible new features, and a dramatic facelift in both the audio and visual side of things, Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire is more than just a 3D update of one of the greatest pokemon titles ever released, it was basically rebuilt from the ground up and is one of the best remakes that Nintendo and Game Freak have ever made! It's a true masterpiece and we give Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire a perfect recommendation!
Price: $39.99
Score: ★★★★★★★★★★ 10/10

I agree with the perfect score, which this game more than deserves! I'd like to get Omega Ruby at some point as well, so I can experience the adventure in a new way.

Agree, as someone who thought the originals were ok, but not great I was a little excited/worried when I heard it was getting remade
