Citizens of Earth Discussion (Wii U and 3DS)

Citizens of Earth would be a great game if only it wasn't so riddled with glitches and bugs. It seems as though the Wii U version is borderline broken, whereas the 3DS version has some annoying bugs, but is overall very playable.

I've encountered a few bugs but nothing has broken my game as of yet. I'm through the first chapter and I've lost some sound, voices, and music during battles and had a weird psychedelic glitch when selecting a command on the Police Woman fight but that's about it. So far I'm really enjoying this one. Too bad all the glitches will ruin the review as at its core the game is fun.

If say in your review you can give a score but also say I will give it this score if the glitches are fixed.  I know 2 separate scores isn't ideal but most reviewers won't go back and change a score if a patch arrives and that can hurt sales. Atlus is a good company and has supported Nintendo really well. I would even say the most 3ds games by far then any other 3rd party company.

I had 3 different bugs, one where you got stuck in the tutorial and had to quit the game.
2. a graphic glitch (black screen, no graphics) in the Dreamworld. Playable, but you couldn't see anything. I left it and it later returned to normal.
3. and a graphic glitch in the Bakery. (white 'dream' effect)

Other minor design issues:
- Icons on the menu that are clickable but do nothing?
- Text scrolls too fast in battles. . . also sometimes text is out of (under) the textbox.
- Story items don't get listed anywhere??
- Many items with the same icon. (The game is 4GB so I was expecting more graphical details.) Maybe later, I'm only 5hrs in.
- Hope the loading times can get reduced in an update.

Despite this game being pretty unpolished so far it's fun!

Be careful when running over enemies with a car cuz sometimes it makes you not be able to fight battles anymore until you reset the game.

This game seems to be huge! I have half of the characters so I probably need another week to finish up the game and the review.

I encountered many bugs so far. With freezes (hard reset), places to get stuck (save&restart), huge graphic glitches, wrong text, etc. but nothing that completely breaks progress... and I've strayed far from the main mission path into the open world.

With that many bugs it's hard to fully recommend the game to everyone
in respect to gamers who want/expect a polished and flawless experience that feels as if it has the Nintendo Seal of Quality,
and in respect to other developers that make great games but also deliver it to the market without bugs and coding errors.
Things like these are always reflected in the final score and explained in my reviews.

On this site, reviews can be updated.
If the game gets an update, the review can get an update too.

Thanks for the heads up. I've experienced some more bugs as well on the 3ds side of things. What's weird is they didn't happen till about 30 hours in. I've had 3 to 4 close outs and one downright freeze. I'm also seeing this game lasting a lot longer then I thought but mostly because I insist on raising the difficulty.  That makes battles far to long lol. Either way I'm having fun so far.

Hopefully there will be a patch for this game despite the situation with SEGA SAMMY which owns ATLUS. ATLUS will never let the developer leave the game as is unless they end up getting the axe from SEGA SAMMY during the restructuring that they're going through.

The game is much better now that the bugs have been addressed.
