Satoru Iwata has announced that the Wii U price and date will Not be revealed until Fall 2012, despite being so close the holiday 2012 release window.

Big news today as Nintendo has announced they have hired a Senior Games Executive from Disney. Duncan Orrell-Jones has recently been hired by Nintendo for the newly created position of “Senior Vice President of Network Business”. In this new position he [Duncan Orrell-Jones] will be Leading the "development and evolution" of digital strategy for Nintendos 3DS and WiiU consoles.

Ninja Gaiden 3 was released in March to not so hot reviews. Both gamers and critics had not so great things to say; IGN called it “a technical disaster” and Gamespot said that it’s “a shallow action game with little of the series' challenge and depth”. After hearing all this it’s hard not to wonder how the WiiU version will fair.

After the latest Nintendo Direct, it seems that Japan and Europe will be getting discounts on 10 selected Virtual Console and 3D titles in the Nintendo eShop, while Nintendo of America has only confirmed 1 discount title, which is Super Mario Land.

Now here is a bit of odd news on the WiiU front, apparently a game using CryEngine3 will be coming to the WiiU. This game however is not being developed by Crytek, but by a "respected developer". As it stands right now there are no details on this game or even who will be developing it. It looks like we have to wait for more information.

Even though CryEngine3 “runs beautifully” on WiiU, the Developer still has no plans to port...

Nintendo focusing on only launch date and launch window Wii U titles during their conference felt a little underwhelming due to lack of inspiration for the non-early adopter and future plans for the next gen system. What's even more troubling is that the only future Wii U release was at last year's Nintendo conference with a new Super Smash Bros. title, which is not going to be release for a very long time.

During the Ubisoft show, there was quite some Wii U news.

It all started with a CGI trailer of Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth. Unfortunately there was no gameplay, but apart from the Avengers from the current movie, we also saw characters like Wolverine, Venom, Spider-Man, Storm and Magneto.
