Defeat Dr. Eggman once and for all in the final chapter of Sonics' epic Sega Genesis series.
Gameplay
The gameplay is almost unchanged from Sonic 3 but this game does have a lock-on feature that allows you to gain access to bonus features on Sonic 2/Sonic 3 such as playing as Knuckles (Sonic 2/Sonic 3) or combining the games into one massive adventure (Sonic 3). This game is also quite large as it dwarfs Sonic 3 with 7 Zones and 3 levels in each zone as well as a different ending depending on your character choice.
Graphics
The graphics in this game are highly detailed and colorful as well. The games levels are unique and absolutely gorgeous as they really showcase the Sega Genesis' power. The graphics do slow down if there are to many enemies on-screen at once on the VC port but it's not to bad.
Sound & Music
The sound effects and music are not good in the vc port as the sound will cut-out frequently and frankly hurts the overall experience.
Bottom line: This is a great game that is a must have for any platforming/Sonic fan if you don't mind the poorly emulated sound files. It's likely worth 800 Wii Points for most gamers.
Score ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 8.5/10
8- Great This is a great game that might have a few flaws or could have been better, but is still a game we highly recommend!
