I ordered Pokémon White Version on eBay and picked up Pokémon White Version 2 at a retro games shop during a recent trip.

This means I now have access to every core series region’s main story (though technically speaking I’m missing titles from the third and fourth generations, meaning no Orre Region and Sevii Islands for now).

I used my Christmas EB Games gift cards to put toward replacing my previous Nintendo Switch console, which made it possible to redeem the Nintendo eShop Cards I got from @BurstDashV8 for my birthday last year on some neat New Year Sale discounts!

Here’s the full haul:

Nintendo Switch Lite (Coral - Isabelle Aloha Edition)
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection
Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection

That last one is practically a steal right now. Normally, the individual EO remasters are AU$59.95 each, while the regular price of the collection as a bundle is AU$119.95; in other words, you’re pretty much paying full price for two games, and getting the third for free (well, 5c).

The current eShop sale includes the whole collection for AU$71.97 (40% off), which is $12.02 more than just one of the remasters, so it’s pretty much EOI for $60, EOII for 12 bucks, and EOIII for honky Fronkin’ free! Shocked

@MyNameIsRyan Is there something with Australia's environment that murders game consoles? Aside from the defective nightmare that was the PS2 "Had to replace mine dozens of times" the only other console that's ever died on me were both my PSOne's and one of those two I actually swapped disc-drive belts with the other dead PSOne and it has worked ever since.

Anyway, here are the eShop goodies I’ve obtained since last time (it’s possible I’m blanking on one or two, given I didn’t sleep at all last night, only managing a couple of hours or so around dawn-ish):

- Torchlight II (tried the demo and kinda enjoyed it)
- Torchlight III (I prefer the second one a tiny bit more)
- Saints’ Row: The Third (eShop sale + Gold Pts. = k thx)
- Saints’ Row IV (eShop sale + bundled with 3rd = k thx)
- Digimon World: Next Order (been meaning to play it)
- Palia (wholesome AF eShop recommendation)

The best bit? Between my current eShop funds and the Gold Points earned from buying these smaller name titles, I still technically have a little over $12.00 to put toward one or two extra indie titles.

it ended up being around 10 hours for me and 100% it is gonna be a challenge, as for the other plays I think my favorites are mighty and ninja. I would say the demo both does and doesn’t tell you everything, I kinda think you’d need to find a way to play a scenario on a part 2 of a costume to fully see if it’s right for you
