Yes, I did purchase Pokémon X or Y. 
Maybe I should clarify. I picked Pokémon X because I prefer the known version-exclusive Pokémon in it.

Nope. The reason being is that I played and beat Pokemon Red when it came out years ago, and that was enough Pokemon for me. I did own both Black and White but I only played those to the second gym and then got bored of them and traded them in.

@Tasuki the gameplay has been completely changed in X and Y. You might actually enjoy the 6th generation Pokemon games.
