Donkey Kong 64 Discussion

Anyone else in PAL regions picked up this gem yet?

Not yet, though I am curious to see if Nintendo was able to keep Jetpac in the game or if they had to remove it due to copyrights?

Apparently, Jetpac is retained in this version of the game. I guess the reason DK64 never made it to the Wii Shop Channel is due to the legal hurdles Nintendo would have had to jump through, much as was the case with EarthBound. It seems that Nintendo has finally completed the obstacle course, meaning a release of this classic on Wii U!

Man, I forgot how brutally tough this game can be. It took me five attempts to defeat Army Dillo, and he's only the first boss! :/

Feh! You don't know what a "tough" game is, sprat! Back in MY day, we had games which toughened you up, which is a true sign of quality. 8 bits is all a game needs, y'know!

Also I'm actually stuck on the first stage as I can't figure out where I need to go to find Donkey Kong's peanut shooter.

In the main part of Jungle Japes, head to the far left, and you should see a large vine on the cliff face across the lake. Climb up the vine to the top of the cliff, and a small building will pop-up with a loud BOING! It is here that Funky Kong will sell each Kong a different weapon:

●Donkey - Coconut Cannon
●Diddy - Peanut Popguns
●Tiny - Feather Bow
●Lanky - Grape Shooter
●Chunky - Pineapple Launcher

Any time you go into the shop, Funky will refill your character's ammo for free. Hope this helps!

I have to play this more, I haven't played it in over a month despite doing surprisingly well last time I played (20 Golden Bananas in one night)

Um...where is the snowy level in this game?
