amiibo Discussion

amiibo looks exciting...and very collectable! My first priority of characters includes Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Yoshi, Fox and Samus. My very first pick, however, is Kirby. Notice a pattern? That's right: it's the character roster from the original Super Smash Bros.!

From there, I'd probably expand to more characters such as Peach, Bowser, Zelda, Ganondorf, King Dedede, Pit, Little Mac and Mega Man, and possibly even Luigi, Captain Falcon, Ness and Jigglypuff, among others. I'd also like to share the amiibo joy and give my buddy BurstDashV8 the "Blue Blur", as a counterpart to my "Blue Bomber"!

So which ones would you like to own?

I'd like to pick Meta Knight colours for my Kirby amiibo and nickname him "Pinky", as a tribute to Brawl in the Family.

My most wanted amiibo can never be...I think you know who he is. That guy from Crystals of Silveria? Yup, you guessed it...it's Erik!

Well, I can add Marth, Wario, Villager and Sonic to my wishlist of amiibo, bringing it to a grand total of 24 (25 if Mii Fighter eventually makes an appearance). Out of all the amiibo on my wishlist, though, only Ganondorf, Jigglypuff, Ness and Wario have yet to be announced. I hope this doesn't mean that unlockable fighters won't receive amiibo of their own.

Well, I've preordered my Kirby amiibo, so it should be ready to collect tomorrow!

Today's the day that amiibo officially release in my homeland and its easternmost neighbour!

There's a rumour that these three characters have already been discontinued.

My amiibo wishlist is the starting roster of the original Smash Bros. (Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Pikachu, Samus, Kirby and Fox), four fighters introduced in Melee (Peach, Bowser, Zelda and Ganondorf), two introduced in Brawl (King Dedede and Pit), one newcomer (Little Mac) and one special guest (Mega Man). I'd also like to get Sonic for BurstDashV8, since he's a huge SEGA fan. With the threat of instant discontinuations, though, I should preorder many of them. There's also no guarantee that Ganondorf will even be announced, and I would have settled for Marth if he wasn't discontinued. The number of amiibo from Melee is rather lacking.

I was lucky enough to find a few Link amiibo on shelves yesterday. I was so surprised! I quickly put one on layby for another time.

I wonder if the Super Mario amiibo will be more widespread than the Super Smash Bros. ones. At the very least there should be a restock of amiibo which are useable in upcoming games.

Nope, the Super Mario series of Amiibo are already sold out as well.

Well, this is weird. Every Target I've visited in the past week (all two of them) has plenty of Super Mario amiibo on shelves!

I'd also like to get a few other Smash amiibo if I get the chance. My top priorities would be:

●Ness

If I could collect a bunch more, I'd choose:

●Zelda
●Ganondorf
●King Dedede
●Charizard

But as it is, I'm pleased with my current collection (Mario, Link, Kirby and Pikachu).

Okay, amiibo are starting to flood Target and EB Games stores in my home city, including ones which were once rare such as Marth and Sonic!
