One Becomes Two!
Tecmo Koei has been doing extremely well recently. Last year it recorded a net profit of $27.9 million between the beginning of October and the end of December, which was an amazing 291% increase on the previous quarter.
Now the company has officially announced that it is reorganizing its corporate structure, which will see its flagship developer Team Ninja spilt into two teams. The two development groups have been named Ichigaya Development Group 1 and Ichigaya Development Group 2.
The former will be run by the current head of the studio Yosuke Hayashi, while Keisuke Kikuchi, who was a senior manager, will be in charge of the latter.
Team Ninja's most recent title on a Nintendo system was Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, which is no longer a Wii U exclusive. Tecmo Koei has been responsible for the release of Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper and Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 on Wii U and they also developed Pokémon Conquest on the DS.
What do you think about Tecmo Koei's decision to split Team Ninja into two separate development teams? Let us know in the comments below!

In matters such as this, I'm not so sure. If Team Ninja is just a design team, then I think it is best to remain as one and work together, unless the members are all like-minded.
