eShop 72 focuses on the latest download releases, both new and classics, appearing on the Nintendo eShop (North America). Showing you how well they’re doing during the first 72 hours on the service from Thursday, July 12 9:00am, to Sunday, July 15 9:00am PDT.
The season of 8-Bit Summer continues with last Thursday release of Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters and Tumble Pop. After 72 hours, Kid Icarus currently soaring at 4 ½ stars with 74 ratings while Tumble Pop is at 4 ½ with only 6 tumbles. More good news for Pit, Kid Icarus: Uprising is right now back in 1st place in “All User Ratings” for All Software, back and forth between Kid Icarus and THEATRHYTHM: Final Fantasy throughout last week. More news for 3DS retail is the latest release of Heroes of Ruin, release last Tuesday. 24 hours after release, the online dungeon crawler set a new record for the most receive ratings for retail at that time frame this month with 90 ratings and placed in 5th in “All User Ratings” for All Software. Currently, Heroes of Ruin is still in 5th place with 385 ratings, another new record.
Surprisingly, one DSiware title got a successful 72 hours of fame and that title is Petit Computer (image above). It’s a learning programming tool that you can create your own original computer inspired retro games, receives 5 stars with 44 ratings. Another Dsiware release is Rabi Laby 2 at 4 ½ stars with only 5 ratings, looks similar to Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
The latest 3D downloads are not stereoscopically attractive with titles such as The Phantom Thief Stina (and 30 Jewels) and Masyu by Nikoli. The Phantom Thief Stina and 30 Jewels is a futuristic heist strategy game with modernly generic hacking skills currently receives 5 stars with 7 ratings. If you’re unfamiliar with Masyu puzzles then I suggest to check out Nikoli website, the game currently receives 4 ½ with only 2 ratings.
I’ll be checking back new process on the Nintendo eShop next week and remember to post your welcoming thoughts at the comment section below.

I'm not surprised that Kid Icarus: of Myths and Monsters has such a good rating after so many votes.
Has anyone downloaded Petit Computer yet?
Is the software difficult to understand how to use?

Kid Icarus: of Myths and Monsters is certainly the highlight of this week's downloads, but most of the other games look amazing too!

Ha! I just ordered a new copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising a couple of days ago. I'm seriously considering to download, "Of Myths and Monsters," so I'll have access to the complete trilogy. I'm not sure if I should invest in another Kid Icarus game, because I have yet to complete the original on the Wii VC. I've already read a few impressions. None of which were too negative, but supposedly the difficulty level is greatly reduced.

I bet Wario land will be this weeks winner, unless we get something really great like Pokemon Crystal
