What if Wiiwarewave were to change its name.

This topic comes after a discussion with christicehurst and various other staff members. To keep the site relevant and up to date, the staffs here are thinking about a name change. Don’t worry its nothing too serious but we want to bounce some Ideas off the members.

If you don’t like any of the names in the poll you can suggest some in the comments

NintendoWave sounds great. I mean, we still sound like WiiWareWave but in a more up-to-date manner. And since we're getting a new interface in late June, a name change around that time will feel like a completely new site.

So stoked!

Nintendo Wave sounds like the only good one there.

I am definitely on board with "NintendoWave". Easy to remember and retains something from the original URL. NintendoWave will also last a lot longer than WiiWareWave as it can be used for Nintendo content in general, across platforms such as 3DS and WiiU, and not just limited to WiiWare/Wii.

There's a storm coming. It looks like NintendoWave is approaching.

We will need donations for our name change anything would help even if you can only donate $1 it would help ensure the future of our website.

I can help by buying the domain out on my web hoster and redirect it to your current url if that can work.

Damn and I just cleaned out my paypal account two weeks ago. I had 50 bucks in there.

I voted for the name NintendoWave because it sounds alot better than WiiWareWave

It was either that or BrianWave, but people would see that and think somebody typoed 'BrainWave'.

That's true. I know you can change the N4G username, but I'm pretty sure you can't for the others.

Thats something i was worried about.

You can change the Fan Page if you have under 100 fans and the twitter one can be changed too.

I'm new here so I wouldn't have much of an opinion. Long as it's good for everyone else, I suppose.

Wiiware will officially become a thing of the past in just a few days. If it's possible to change the Facebook/Twitter accounts as Chris mentioned, does N4G/photobucket really affect our users if it remains under Wiiwarewave? Hopefully Google+ can be changed too but if not, we could just start a new account under NintendoWave and direct everyone there.
