The developers might actually take advantage of what the 3DS could do !

In the latest issue of Nintendo Power, they have "supposedly" confirmed that the 3DS e-shop release Mighty Switch Force and 3DS game Cave story 3D will both have "updates" that will give 5 new free levels for Mighty Switch Force (basically DLC) and a "upgraded" 3DS version of Cave Story, but no details on what the upgraded version will look like.

This might be surprising, since it looks like the developers are now using the 3DS's maximum potential just like Nintendo was hoping for IF this is true.

But what do you guys think ? do you love the idea of free new DLC for Mighty Switch Force ? what do you think the upgraded version of Cave Story 3D will look like ?

UPDATE: It isn't a rumor anymore ! the same issue of Nintendo Power have confirmed and even put out details on the Mighty Switch Force DLC and the Cave Story game is not the 3DS version, but rather the DSiware version in which it will be upgraded with new features, details state:

"Cave Story DSiWare being revamped for eShop

- includes new modes and features
- jukebox mode, adjustable controls, Boss Rush, Curly Story, Hell Time Attack, Wind Fortress, Nemesis Challenge, and more
- adds a widescreen presentation and 3D effect
- DSiWare version may be removed from eShop, but will remain on DSiWare shop

Mighty Switch Force updates

- content will be delivered in a game update
- includes 5 free levels
- will also enhance the game's 3D effect
- adds a quick-retry button"
