A Swimmingly Amazing Arcade Experience For Ants And By Ants!

Antstream Arcade is a retro gaming subscription service app for the PS4 & PS5 that has nearly 1500 titles available in its library at the time this review was written and counting with 2-5 games being added to this service every single week, but is the line-up worth the yearly or lifetime subscription price-tags? We think so, but you'll have to read the rest of our review to find the answers to this question!
Antstream Arcade's selection of titles aren't just obscure ones as there are hundreds of heavy-hitters in the lineup and this includes home console, computer, and handheld retro titles as well which is pretty amazing for such an affordable subscription service! The greatness doesn't even end there, no not even close as every game offers save states as well as button-mapping which is fantastic to say the least!
There are also tournaments and challenges to take-on as well as leaderboards to really test your gaming Chops! Doing well in these earns you tokens that allow you to continue taking on challenges or unlock new ones to tackle! While limited right now, we hear that the whole app will be entirely revamped in early-2025 with loads of new functions and features, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
The UI of the app is very sleek and works incredibly well, though the search function admittedly isn't the greatest or most accurate at present, though we imagine it too, will be revamped in the upcoming update that's launching in early-2025! As for your user profile there's some decent options available to subscribers, however the avatar and profile customization is quite barebones at the moment, but this is also going to be changed with tons of new customization options as well as winnable profile avatars, backgrounds, and more in the early-2025 update!
Bottom-Line: With a boatload of great games, smooth service with few issues not attributed to issues on your end, a great UI, and tons of QoL features such as save states and button-mapping, Antstream Arcade is one service we can't recommend enough to fans of retro gaming and as such we give the app a near-perfect level of recommendation!

The Blades That Bind Us!

Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem also known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade in Japan will be releasing on June 22nd which is Thursday, but given how NSO releases happen at the same time globally chances are the game will drop in North America at 6:00 PM PDT / 9:00 PM EDT on Wednesday! Here is the official description of the game from Nintendo's PR announcement!

Turmoil grows as noble houses plot treason, allies become enemies and armies stand poised for combat … all while a mysterious figure manipulates empires from the shadows. Now Lyn, along with Eliwood and Hector, must amass their own army to fight back against the forces that would destroy everything they hold dear – and before the world is burned to ash.
Over the course of the story, you’ll gather heroes to your side, train them to excel with a wide array of weapons and classes, and further hone their skills on the battlefield. As a bonus for Japanese players, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade is also releasing in Japan only this week. You can, however play the game with a North American or European NSO + Expansion Pack subscription if you have a Japanese Switch account, but obviously the game will be in Japanese and is text-heavy so some understanding of the Japanese language might be necessary to enjoy a game like this.
