Do you think we’ll ever get every first party Nintendo game on one system?

Do you think we’ll ever get every first party game on one system be it the Switch or its successor? I would love for it to happen someday down the line and yes this includes stuff like Settella view and WiiWare games, I think they could if the stop hitting the reset button on their libraries each time

Yes, but definitely not this generation as GCN and Wii apps couldn't be released on NSO on the current hardware AFAIK since the apps contain all the games and their data which for GCN would be up to 1 GB per game and for Wii up to 8 GB per game. Since the Switch has only 32 GB of built-in space "64 GB for the OLED model" apps for those systems simply aren't feasible on the hardware. Now if Nintendo took a different approach for those two apps and made them Cloud versions, it WOULD be possible this generation, but would require constant high speed internet to play, which again would be less than ideal.

I’m not necessarily talking NSO, like they could still sell the games separately too like how we have stuff like Metroid Prime Remastered or Skyward Sword HD, just “a way” to play all these past Nintendo games… sorry the eShop closure has me worried about eShop only titles specificallyKeAfan7 wrote:Yes, but definitely not this generation as GCN and Wii apps couldn't be released on NSO on the current hardware AFAIK since the apps contain all the games and their data which for GCN would be up to 1 GB per game and for Wii up to 8 GB per game.
