The best video game character of all-time 2018 edition (Round Two)

Who is the all-time favorite video game character? It's up to you to decide. The preliminary round begin's right away and each person will vote for whatever character they want to add to the competition. The top eight characters move on to round one of the tournament. Each round will last roughly two weeks so the tournament should last two months from beginning to end. 

I'll start with my vote: Kain from Final Fantasy IV.

Round one begin's today. A lot of the games tied so I had to use a randomizer to choose the winners among the games that received a single vote. You can vote for one game from each battle this time like Reanfan's character battle a few years ago.

Shulk - 6 votes / vs. Sephiroth  - 3 votes. Shulk wins!

Mario - 8 votes / vs. Kain - 2 votes. Mario wins.

Auron - 8 votes / vs. D.va - 1 vote. Auron wins!

Rean Schwarzer - 5 votes / vs. Kirby - 4 votes. Rean Schwarzer barely edges out Kirby.

I vote for Kain again, though I doubt he'll win given who he's matched up against.
