We recently were contacted by Nihilumbra developer BeautiFun Games in regards to their recently launched Kickstarter campaign for an interesting looking roleplaying title codenamed Megamagic. Here's the gist of our conversation with the developer!

(WiiWareWave): Will this be headed to the Wii U at some point?

Thanks for your answer, sincerely we would love to publish a WiiU version of Megamagic, we have previously experience with that platform (since we released Nihilumbra) also we have a WiiU development kit.

We think the platform is so natural to our game, since the game mixes rpg with strategy mechanics, we think they will work really well with the WiiU gamepad. We did some experiments and we have a build of the game working on a WiiU devkit, I can't confirm at the moment the development of Megamagic for the WiiU, since it will depend on the success of our Kickstarter, and the (hopefully) future success of the game.
