Mighty Good!
Developed and published by the former Mega Man team Inti Creates, Mighty Gunvolt is a short, but sweet action-platformer with definite Mega Man inspirations! The game is fairly easy compared to most of Inti Creates works, but the game isn't bad by any means. The controls are simple and easy to learn so no complaints there. The game does, however lack in content unless you purchase the few locked stages via DLC. It doesn't cost much, but it feels like it should have been a part of the game from the get-go.
The game also features three characters with completely different move-sets and skills that really adds a special touch to the game. As for Mighty Gunvolt's audio-visual presentation, the visuals are superb with late 80's level backgrounds and sprites that will remind you of the first time you played an action-platformer if you were old enough to play games during that era! The music, while not as good as the visuals, fits the game well and is fairly solid, same with the sound effects!
Bottom-Line:
With great gameplay, intuitive controls, and excellent retro visuals, Mighty Gunvolt is a superb action-platformer that is fun to play in small doses, however without paying for the DLC the game is much too short, but it's cheap enough to forgive the developer. Overall we give Mighty Gunvolt a solid to very high level of recommendation!
Price: £3.19/$3.99
Score: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ 7.8/10

Good review, but I'm not a big fan of the game.

This game is trash the way that most of the stages and story are locked behind a paywall. Killer Yoshii wouldn't approve.
