My apologies if this is a stupid question, but when will the Mario Kart 8 update and dlc be released? Will it be at Midnight tonight or will it be during the time that the eshop is usually updated? unsure

For some reason the triforce cup doesn't start it just loads... The yoshi cup worked fine

Another bug....Mario Kart 8 is riddled with a ton of bugs now that the new software update has been released...there's another bug with the new 3.0 software update that I ran across....when you choose random courses in vs. mode the order is predetermined and set rather than random as it was before the update and the new courses are the first 8 races that you race while 8 of the tracks are doomed never to show up unless you race the tracks in order or choose them manually...it's kind of annoying because my mother and I like to race the tracks in random order. Neutral

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

Apparently I can play time trials in the Hyrule cup, but I just can't play single player to get the trophy. Not game breaking yet as they could patch it soon, but annoying for the time being

I think the problem lies with some members Wii U console or hard drives because my dlc works perfectly! ^.^

so I narrowed it down to Warios Gold Mine being the issue for me since all other tracks work on time trials, but Warios Gold Mine just loads more the LEGO City Undercover did :/

Have you tried deleting your download from your HDD? It could be a faulty hard drive. Sad

Well, I tried it in the end and it actually worked smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised about the extra-special touches on the Mute City and Hyrule Circuit courses! Smile

I believe it was my hard drive that was bad since I moved the MK8 data to my WiiU and it worked fine, but games I moved to the hard drive wouldn't start... Oh well I can just move games to my WiiU when I wanna play and just store them on my hard drive until I wanna play

Ice Ice Outpost is kind of underwhelming compared to the other DLC tracks in MK8. It's not bad, but could have been better, otherwise the DLC was the pinnacle of perfection! king

I agree, Ice Ice Outpost was a little boring. Out of both non-retro, non-crossover courses, Dragon Driftway is definitely the pick of the clutch. Mario Kart 8 Discussion 631737971

Now everything works on the hard drive for MK8 at least... Bayonetta, Pikmin 3, and NSMBU on the other hand act up :/

I have an idea. Why don't we do a Holiday Friendly in Mario Kart 8? We could choose from a small pool of characters and vehicles, and follow a fixed selection of courses themed around the holiday season. I was thinking along the lines of the following:

Characters (15)
Baby Mario
Baby Luigi
Baby Peach
Baby Daisy
Baby Rosalina
Toad
Toadette
Shy Guy
The Koopalings

Vehicles (10)
KARTS
Standard Kart
Pipe Frame (some players may have received Super Mario Kart or Mario Kart 64 as a Christmas gift)
Cat Cruiser (looks like a pet kitten)
Biddybuggy (Buggybud - looks like a toy)
BIKES
Standard Bike
Yoshi Bike (looks like a Nintendo toy)
Mr. Scooty (looks like a toy)
ATVS/QUADS
Standard ATV (Standard Quad)

Whenever I play the download courses, I'll probably play them in my own custom cup configurations:

Ice Flower Cup - Consists of four all-new courses in the style of the Mushroom, Flower, Star and Special Cups
Dragon Driftway
Ice Ice Outpost
Wild Woods
Super Bell Subway

Red Shell Cup - Contains four newly-returning courses in the same mould as the Shell, Banana, Leaf and Lightning Cups
Wii Wario's Gold Mine
GBA Ribbon Road
3DS Koopa City (Neo Bowser City)
GBA Cheese Land

F-Zero Cup - Features four "crossover" courses from the Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing and F-Zero series!
Mute City
Hyrule Circuit
Animal Crossing
Big Blue

Excitebike Cup - Includes three courses which have appeared more than twice before, plus a special, randomly-generated Excitebike-themed course!
GCN Baby Park
Excitebike Arena
GCN Yoshi Circuit
SNES Rainbow Road

This would make the races much more fun to play by grouping them into themed cups. What does everyone else think? Smile
