Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Discussion - SPOILER WARNING!

Who else is excited for this epic game?

Me! I'm really looking forward to it, theres even more content then Brawl, so that makes me even more excited for the WiiU version which will surely be packed

Shulk for Smash 3DS!

I hope that every colour of Yoshi (Green, Pink, Cyan, Yellow, Purple, Orange, Red, Blue, Black, White, Brown and Magenta) will be in this one. Only half of them were in previous Smash Bros. games, and Yoshi is most likely going to be one of the characters which I play frequently.

Apparently, a handful of Club Nintendo members in North America and Europe will each be receiving FOUR download codes for a demo version of Smash Bros. later today, with unlimited uses! The same demo will be released in Nintendo eShop next week, though with a total limit of 30 play sessions. Thoughts?

I received some demo codes lol.

Apparently, some people who received codes decided to auction/sell them on eBay! This is absolutely disgusting behaviour, and shows how individuals can transform a gesture of good faith into a way to make money.

I didn't receive any download codes (I'm kinda disappointed...), but if I had I wouldn't have thought to sell the rest, no way! I would have shared them with others who hadn't received the codes, most likely European/Aussie/Kiwi members of WiiWareWave.

Nintendo has stated that they plan to make an amiibo for every fighter in the game. I've been wondering three things, however:

1. How will they handle fighters with more than one gender option (Wii Fit Trainer, Villager and Robin)? Will there only be one gender or the other, and if so how will they decide which gender the Robin amiibo will be knowing that there will be a gender-imbalance if they do so?

2. How will they handle fighters with alternate named costumes (Olimar / Alph and Bowser Jr. / Bowser's Minions Koopalings)? Will Alph, Lemmy, Iggy, Roy, Wendy, Morton, Larry and Ludwig each get their own amiibo figures, especially since Sakurai-sama has stated that they are more-or-less separate fighters in their own right?

3. How will they handle Mii Fighter? Will there be a generic amiibo available for it? Will players have the opportunity to redeem for a custom sculpt of their very own Mii in amiibo form? Or will Nintendo simply skip Mii Swordfighter, Mii Brawler and Mii Gunslinger, and thus not keep true to their word?

I'd love to know what you guys think! Also, which amiibo figures, if any, would you like to collect? I'm looking at a collection of either 20 or 32, plus the Bowser Jr. collection and maybe a Mii Fighter or three if they end up existing.

I was wondering the same, but also Nintendo said Amiibos will function in other games, Mario will obviously be used a lot, but what about Duck Hunt Dog, ROB, G&W, Shulk, and the FE Chracters? Who don't show up in a lot? Also will assist trophies have Amiibos? Because I'd love a Color TV Game 15 toy

I played the demo last week on one of my coworkers 3DS. Its good but I dont like how it feels. I much prefer the gamecube controller to be honest. There are a bunch of games I cant play anymore dude to the lack of a GC controller.

I would suggest getting the high-end Super Smash Bros. for Wii U bundle, which includes the GCN Controller Adapter and a GCN Controller stamped with the Smash logo.

I miss the story mode from Brawl

Has anyone besides myself experienced serious issues with staying connected when playing this game online lol?

I will say that I am dissapointing more handheld games wernt represented... Where was the Drill Dozer, Golden Sun, X, Advance wars, Ouendan, Tingle RPG, Hotel Dusk, Trace Memory, Kirby Mass attack, Mario VS DK, Wario Land, Mario Land, Oracle games, Minish Cap, and sonic advance representation? I would've loved trophies of mini Mario toys, Tatanga, Zombie Wario, Ezlo, and more of the WarioWare INC characters
