Is Okami a good game?

I really enjoy Okamiden,is Okami similar or is the gameplay completely different

I have Okami on the Wii. I haven't played it a lot so I'm not an authority on the subject, but it a 3D platformer where you use the brush to fight enemies and draw bridges to overcome obstacles. I tried out the demo on the Wii Nintendo Channel and it mostly appeared similair (although I really didn't like the combat thingy, but it wasn't properly explained in the demo).

It's pretty good,but I think the drawing/painting mechanics could have been implemented better than they were.
