During today's investor meeting Satoru Iwata explained that Nintendo had worked out various "hurdles" that were preventing the company from releasing DS games on the Wii U Virtual Console service! Little more has been confirmed yet, but we'll keep you updated!

I agree that it should also be on 3DS, but honestly I'm excited that DS games will be released on the Wii U Virtual Console since it'll be the first time I'll be able to play those games on a big-screen!

Unless both GBA and DS games are also coming to 3DS, I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I could be. That's not to say that I'm not interested though. I wonder how multiplayer games would work on Wii U...

Pokemon would work for the first time on a home console given how the Wii U gamepad works. Maybe there will be some bluetooth trading between games if two gamepads are synced and in close range?

There should be a top 10 feature of most wanted DS games for the Wii U VC.

I just thought of something: what if this is a sign of Crossbuy and to sell WiiUs plus not make 3DS ambassadors mad? Maybe GBA and DS games will be exclusive to WiiU, but you can transfer them to the 3DS using the NNID, that would mean GBA games wouldn't come to 3DS like nintendo said and might sell a few (maybe not a ton) WiiUs on the side

Also I'm hoping for a DS Transfer tool (like the 3DS one) that way all my progress from my collection of 80+ DS games isn't gone and I dont have to start all over
