It seems as though every generation introduces a new electric rodent Pokémon which is similar to Pikachu.

It's interesting to note that in each series of the anime, starting with the Diamond and Pearl series, one of Ash's female companions catches or befriends the one introduced in that generation; eg. Dawn catches a Pachirisu.

In all seriousness, Zed is basically my only representation in the Chromaicora. The other characters are pretty much unique, not to mention the fact that half of them are female and thus absolutely NOT based on me. Still, 1 out of 24 ain't bad.
