The New Year Could Start With A Bang For The eshop!
Several sources including IGN have stated that Watermelon Studios, the developers of the upcoming Wii U eshop title Pier Solar: HD are aiming to have the game released at the start of the new year and that January 2nd/3rd is when they hope to have the game released on the North American and European Wii U eshops! Pier Solar HD is an HD remake of the JRPG, Pier Solar that was released by Watermelon Studios a few years ago on the SEGA Genesis/Megadrive and was very well received by critics! The HD remake will feature exclusive dungeons and characters and will be released on many other platforms besides the Wii U eshop, including the SEGA Dreamcast!

I was hoping for a holiday 2013 release, but January 2nd wouldn't be a long wait so I'm okay with the release date!

Neat. I heard only good things about Pier Solar and how it takes all the oustanding features we loved in 16bit RPGs (seen footage and read about it on Kickstarter. )
I'm not much into RPGs with roundbased battles, but as long as there are not too many invisible/random encounters it wouldn't distract me from an intriguing story.
Now how far in development are Two Brothers and UnEpic? They should be pretty cool as well.
