No More Standalone Titles...
Ubisoft's upcoming title Watch Dogs could be the last fresh new title from the French developer as Ubisoft has said that they will no longer create stand-alone titles and will instead focus on games that are a part of an existing franchise or games that they feel will become successful franchises.
Ubisoft said in an interview with The A List Daily the senior vice president of sales and marketing of Ubisoft Tony Key said that the economy has made stand-alone titles not profitable and that franchises should be the only focus.
Ubisoft is fairly confident that Watch Dogs could become a new franchise, unfortunately, however the same can't be said about ZombiU.

Well there are a lot of Indie developers out there who will be releasing original titles so it's not a big loss. But it is a bit disappointing because I thought Ubisoft were a bit different and prepared to take more risks than other publishers such as EA.
