Major Update Incoming!



Nintendo has confirmed that a new Wii U system update will be released globally next week. The update will shorten loading times when switching between apps or returning to the Wii U Menu!

You will now also be able to copy or move data from one USB hard drive to another, automatically install new software you've downloaded in the background and receive updates for games immediately, instead of having to load up the game to begin the download. In addition to all of these new features, you'll now be able to boot the console into Wii mode by holding down the B button when you switch it on. Nintendo has promised that there will be other improvements as well!

That's not all as the day after the update we will see the launch of Wii U Panorama View on the Nintendo Wii U eShop, as well as a free demo. More importantly, the Wii U Virtual Console service will begin on the same day.
