The Conduit heads to Android TheConduitMobile_zps779aa7ae

The Conduit was released back in 2009 for the Nintendo Wii. The game was designed to give Wii gamers a next-gen feel similar to the 360 and PS3. The game featured, Voice Chat through the Wii Speak peripheral, (one of the first FPS games on Wii to do that) an advance game engine called Quantum3 that allowed Bump mapping, reflection and refraction and detail mapping. The game was also notable for its numerous customisation options allowing players to change anything from run speed to bounding box size.

The game was followed by a Sequel in 2011; dropping the "The" with just Conduit 2. At GDC 2011 High Voltage showed off a tech demo of Conduit 2 running on the 3DS, since then no news on this game has been heard.

Now in 2013 we are getting some new Conduit news, it seems that the series will no longer be a Nintendo Exclusive as it has been confirmed for Tegra Powered Android devices. Its not the first time a Wii exclusive title found its way to other consoles Dead Space Extraction, No More Heroes, and House of the Dead Overjkill were all eventually ported to the PS3 early last year. The first two levels of the game will be free but players will have to purchase levels 3-6 and 7-9 for $2.99 each, or players can purchase the whole game for $4.99.

Conduit HD will be hitting the Google Play store on March 14th 2013.

Indeed thats why its only for Tegra powered Android devices. They have a better processor in them.

No loss... the Conduit series was awful. Both games were more generic and boring than Call of Duty, now that's saying something! Having said that, it was actually quite enjoyable in places, but it didn't really last long.

They probably figured, "Hey, if you can't beat'm, join'm." Very Happy
