Though it’s been released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 since May 2012, Sniper Elite developers have only just announced a WiiU version of its popular tactical Shooter. In a Press Release from Rebellion Oxford Sniper Elite for the WiiU has been confirmed for a spring release.
Sniper Elite is a tactical Shooter, it takes places during the last days World War 2. Players are put in control of Karl Fairburne, an OSS officer charged with tracking down the scientists responsible for the development of the V2 missile.
Rebellion Oxford Studio CEO Jason Kingsley has stated that the WiiU version of their game will be the best version, as it allows players to interact with the game as never before through the use of the WiiU gamepad. In an interview with Nintendo life he stated
“Using the GamePad a player can now track the exact positions of any patrols they’ve ‘tagged’ in real-time, and locate any explosives they’ve set – in fact the map even tells you the diameter of their explosions, so you can work out exactly when to set them off for maximum carnage! These are all things you can’t do on the current console and PC versions. The fact that it’s all at a glance too – rather than hidden away in a menu — means you can react quicker. That’ll come in handy because the game can get pretty tough if you’re spotted!”
These statements echo very similarly to statements made by Randy Pitchford about Aliens Colonial Marines on the WiiU. Let’s hope Sniper elite doesn’t get delayed too.

As much as Iam a History buff, i am getting tired of Shooters. even Black ops 2 got boring for me already, Even with the new features. Maybe I will pick it up one day. Ive never played a tactical shooter, so maybe one day.
