Nintendo of America has tweeted that the first Nintendo Direct on 2013 will be streaming tomorrow featuring Iwata with a new Pokemon announcement at 6:00am EST / 3:00am PST.

With that time schedule, it's more likely that it's not referring to North America's Nintendo Direct, instead it's referring to Europe's (image above) scheduling tomorrow at 12:00pm CET.
