Nope. The elements are broken into multiple categories, each with its own rock-paper-scissors system. Wood is one of the nature elements, along with animal and stone. The RPS system for the nature elements is:

Animal > Wood > Stone > Animal

So animal munches wood, wood crushes stone and stone is resistant to animal. Thanks for writing!

Technically yes, but in the context of the game fire beats earth and animal beats wood. I don't want to muddle the element system with too many weaknesses to figure out. I'd rather keep things simple with each element being grouped with two others and having the RPS cycle within those groups. It's easier to figure out than something like fire beats earth, ice, wood and metal and is beaten by water, ocean, desert and stone. That's when it gets complicated.

By the way, the RPS system works like this:

Fire > Earth > Water > Fire
Electricity > Ice > Wind > Electricity
Desert > Ocean > Sky > Desert
Animal > Wood > Stone > Animal
Metal > Light > Dark > Metal

And neutral is, well, neutral.
