Does anyone know how the Tetra Card Battle game works in Final Fantasy IX? I can't figure it out.

How do you obtain the Excalibur sword in Final Fantasy IX?

I never bought FFIX when it was released for the original PlayStation (even though I did have FFVII and FFVIII) but I did buy it on the PlayStation Store for my PS3. :-) When you get stuck playing you might want to check-out the FFIX Wikia site here.

There are two different versions of Excalibur in the game, one can be crafted in disc 4, the other stronger version can be obtained by reaching disc 4 in under 12 hours and be obtained from a suit of armor at Alexandria Castle.

I'm stuck for choice right now. Currently I have enough funds for three Final Fantasy games, but there are four options, one of which is Final Fantasy IX (the others are V, VI and VIII). I'd prefer to collect them in order, but so far that plan hasn't worked out as I've currently skipped III and gone from IV straight to VII.
If I try and return to collecting them in order (minus III for now), I'll have to skip IX until later on. The trouble is I've heard so many good things about it and don't want to miss out right now. What is your recommendation, member who is currently reading this post?

I would suggest VI over this considering Final Fantasy VI is by far the best 2D game in the series.
