Power Rangers: Mushroom Force Series Hub - PLEASE POST HERE BEFORE PLAYING!!
June 12th 2012, 2:26 am
Season 1 can be found here!
Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom, a land of wonder and amazement ruled by a kind and peace-loving princess. Here you can find creatures of many kinds, from the snap-happy, pipe-dwelling Piranha Plants to the race of mushroom retainers known as the Toads. Time and again the kingdom has been overrun by the turtlelike Koopa Troop, and the princess captured by their evil, tyrannical king known as Bowser. And each and every time, the Mushroom Kingdom's greatest heroes, the Mario Bros., have thwarted Bowser's grand machinations, even going so far as stopping him from conquering time itself (you haven't played that adventure yet, but it happened).
But there's a problem: Mario has mysteriously disappeared, and Luigi has left to try and find out what happened to him. As a result, Bowser is plotting to take over the Mushroom Kingdom once and for all, and this time he will make Princess Peach his bride! There's no hope left, no chance for the Kingdom to be saved without their blue-dungareed heroes. Nothing can stop Bowser from achieving his greatest ambition...
But one day, while posting in the WiiWareWave forums, a group of humans are entranced by a mysterious swirl of energy in their computer monitors. They reach out to touch it, but are pulled inside, en route to an unknown destination.
This is the start of a new legend within the chronicles of the Mushroom Kingdom, in which new heroes have emerged to take on Bowser...and thwart him once and for all!
This is a revival of a forum game I thought up a few years ago, essentially a Power Rangers series which is set in the Mushroom Universe. All participants are given one or more parts to play, with sessions taking place in WiiWareWave's own chatroom. Each adventure is an episode of an ongoing series, and episodes are played out on a regular basis - the description for each episode will be posted in this very forum thread before each play session.
Here is the current cast of Power Rangers: Mushroom Force, along with the primary parts they play.
Clannad as White Ranger and Toadette
BurstDash as Green Ranger and Iggy Koopa
Kushina as Pink Ranger and Wendy O. Koopa
Eureka as Cyan Ranger and Larry Koopa
Rukiafan as Yellow Ranger and Bowser Jr.
Ragnarok as Purple Ranger and Roy Koopa
ReverseInverse as Orange Ranger and Lemmy Koopa
Marioman as Red Ranger and Morton Koopa Jr.
GamerZack as Blue Ranger and Kamek the Magikoopa
mieu-fire as Black Ranger and Bowser, King of the Koopas
Otaku as Otaku and Goombario
Punnyguy as Monsters-of-the-Day
These are the parts available right now for regular characters (those that appear in almost every episode):
Season Two Ranger + Koopa Roles (twin parts)
Blue Ranger and Ludwig von Koopa
Magenta Ranger and Kamella Koopa
Evil Brown Ranger and Harry the Hammer Bro
Evil Grey Ranger and Barry the Boomerang Bro
Evil Olive Ranger and Gary the Fire Bro
Single Roles
Princess Peach: The fair princess of the Mushroom Kingdom
Wario: A money-crazed brute who strives to become a Ranger and fails in a comical fashion!
Waluigi: Wario's tall...uh...distant relative(?), he also wants to be a Ranger and fails on every occasion!
Fawful: A cackling Beanbeanian who observes the Rangers without being seen...at least for now.
Cosmic Spirit: A mysterious entity resembling a young woman who assists the Rangers whenever they are in the greatest danger.
In addition, there are other characters who are one-off parts (usually the monster-of-the-day) or who appear occasionally. These parts will be offered before their featured episode. Anyway, if you're interested in participating, be sure to shout out which part(s) you'd like to play below! I'll post descriptions of the Rangers' individual powers and Mechs in a while, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
Okay, have a great day everybody, and I hope you are willing to play!

Welcome aboard, Marioman! Your character's name will be...Marioman, the Red Ranger!
I've prepared a number of sprite-based images to go with the story, including the helmets for the first eight Rangers to appear. I'll make those into a new banner for my signature, so keep an eye out for that.
EDIT #2: Okay, it looks like Brian has fixed my banner, so it now appears in my signature. Thanks for that Brian!

Your image was against Imageshack's TOS!?
I would be the Yellow Ranger, but that's not going to happen since I can't use the chatbox that it'll be held on.

When will you restart this forum game? I won't be able to join as a regular, but I could take the role of a few of those troublesome monsters of the day.

We restart as soon as we find a Green Ranger and possibly a Cyan Ranger, so hopefully we don't have to wait too long.

Okay, it's getting to the point where we may as well start with the few participants we have (Rukiafan, Marioman, Punnyguy and myself) until more people show interest. It'd be better if we had somebody to play the Green Ranger and Iggy Koopa since Iggy's the one who creates the monsters, but we'll just have to have the monsters appear from nowhere in particular for now.
And now for some more information about the Rangers' powers and gadgets. The 'mentor' of the Rangers in this series is Professor Elvin Gadd, more often referred to as Prof. E. Gadd, Prof. Gadd, or simply just Gadd. He invented a great number of gadgets which helped the Mario Bros. in their adventures, such as the Poltergust series of ghost-sucking machines, the Game Boy Horror, F.L.U.D.D. and Stuffwell. As such, all of the Rangers' technology was created by him. Here's a breakdown of the Rangers' gear:
Star Coins
These are the most important items in the Rangers' possessions, since they can't actually morph without them! Prof. Gadd created each coin by taking an ordinary coin and infusing it with the abilities of a particular power-up found in the Mushroom Universe. Finally, he added the power of a Rainbow Star to each coin. Gadd made sure that each coin was to be synced to a particular individual; in other words, once somebody clutched a coin it was theirs and theirs alone to use. There are three safeguards in place to detect the holder of the coin:
#1: If the coin is not synced, the holder must be human. If the holder is not human, the coin will warp to a location of similar environmental qualities.
#2: If the coin is synced, the holder must be another Ranger. If the holder is not a Ranger, the coin will warp to the hand of the owner.
#3: If the holder is Professor Elvin Gadd, the coin will warp back to Gadd's Lab.
Each Ranger is able to use their coin by clutching it in their hand and saying their morph call, "(colour) Ranger! Power of the (power-up)!", in which case the Ranger will morph in a flash of coloured light. Each Ranger has a unique ability as well, such as GamerZack's Tough Armour ability, ReverseInverse's Athletics ability and Marioman's Fire Ball ability. However, these abilities should be used wisely as they drain the Rangers' 'morph energy', which is what keeps them morphed. Using an ability or taking damage drains energy until it runs out, at which point the Ranger will de-morph. The coins recharge automatically over time due to the Rainbow Star within each coin. If a Ranger does not use an ability or sustain damage while morphed, they could effectively stay morphed indefinitely.
Mecha
Iggy's monsters can be pretty tough, but the Rangers can make short work of them using their abilities and strategy. Once Larry's on the scene, however, there's a whole new can of worms opened. If a monster is on the brink of destruction, Larry will cast the Grow Monster spell, which makes the monster grow to ridiculous proportions. Fortunately, the Rangers are not defenseless at this time, as each Ranger has their own Mecha, a gigantic robotic creature which has abilities all its own. In a pinch, the Mecha are able to transform into multiple 'Super Mecha' forms, with each Mecha forming into a section of the Super Mecha's body. The combinations are as follows:
Red + Yellow + Blue = Super Mecha Tortoflame, a giant, humanoid robot with a searing-hot fireball barrage.
Pink + Green + Cyan = Super Mecha Aquasaur, a giant, humanoid robot with a powerful jet of water.
Purple + Orange + Black = Super Mecha Rockstorm, a giant, humanoid robot with a super-tough punch.
The Boo Mecha can combine with one of the Super Mecha to form that Super Mecha's Armoured Mode.
I'll explain the minor gadgets, or 'Gaddgets', in another post.
See you next time!

The Boo Mecha can combine with one of the Super Mecha to form that Super Mecha's Armoured Mode.
I'll explain the minor gadgets, or 'Gaddgets', in another post.
See you next time!

And, as promised, the ever-growing list of the Gaddgets used by the Rangers!
Game Boy Horror DS
This is the newest GB Horror created by Gadd, which looks identical to a white DS lite console. It has a few functions at first, but there are more added as the series progresses. Among its functions are:
-A Coin Locator which tells the Rangers in which world the next Star Coin is located. It doesn't say the specific location, just the world in which it's hiding.
-A Monster Tracker which tells the Rangers where a monster of Iggy's creation is located. It doesn't yet explain the monster's weaknesses, though Gadd is working on a solution to that problem.
This Gaddget is used by Clannad, as she does not wish to become a Ranger but still wants to support her friends in their cause.

And now for some information about the antagonists of the story...the Koopa Troop!
The Koopa Troop is the vast empire of mostly turtle-like minions ruled by M. Bowser Koopa, King of the Koopas. Their main base of operations is Bowser's Castle, located in the Koopa Kingdom. The tyrannical turtle is assisted by his children, Bowser Jr. and the seven Koopalings; as well as his Magikoopa handservants Kamek and Kammy.
Bowser
The vicious tyrant of the Koopa Kingdom. Bowser's ultimate ambition is the conquest of the Mushroom Kingdom in order to expand his empire. To achieve this goal, he aspires to kidnap the reigning monarch of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess 'Peach' Toadstool, and hold her captive long enough to marry her. In the past, the human plumber Mario was there to save the day (in all fairness he didn't have much to do after Donkey Kong stopped kidnapping Pauline), but when he vanished, Bowser started to build a refreshed and newly-empowered Koopa Troop. Nonetheless, he leaves his kids to do his dirty work...for now...
Bowser Jr. - Played by Rukiafan
Bowser Koopa Jr. is the youngest son of Bowser, as well as being the second-in-command of the entire Koopa Troop, even being higher-ranked than his brothers and sister. As such, 'Junior' has free reign of all of Bowser's minions, including Kamek and Kammy. He even gets to tell his siblings what to do! At heart, though, he is still a kid, and he likes to play games and have fun...when he's not busy taunting his rival Rukiafan, the Yellow Ranger, that is!
Morton - Played by Marioman
Morton Koopa Jr. is the main nemesis of Marioman, the Red Ranger, and is the Koopaling in charge of the Airship Armada. In fact, he is the only one of Bowser's children who can pilot an airship, and often flies minions, monsters and the other kids to battle the Rangers.
Ludwig - Played by GamerZack
Ludwig von Koopa is the Koopaling who builds mechanical monsters to battle the Rangers, his first creation being the robotic dinosaurs Roboshi and Robirdo. He has a quirky personality, and sees the quirkiness and latent intellect of GamerZack, the Blue Ranger, as a mockery of his own. As such, he sees GamerZack as a very real threat: if Ludwig performs works of brilliance, then there's a chance that the seemingly-innocent GamerZack could one day out-do his genius.
More to come!

And now, Part 2 of info on the Koopa Troop!
Iggy - Played by BurstDash
Iggy Koopa is the middle Koopaling, and like his big brother Ludwig possesses great intelligence. Whilst Ludwig focuses on crafting mechanical monsters, however, Iggy creates organic monsters with which to battle those pesky Power Rangers! After making short work of Iggy's monster within mere moments of obtaining their Star Coin, Iggy sees the Green Ranger as his greatest nemesis, and vows to one day take his revenge on the green-clad hero!
Wendy - Played by Kushina
The only female Koopaling, Wendy O. Koopa is kind of a spoiled brat who throws a tantrum whenever she doesn't get what she wants! Often, this involves buying expensive jewellery, makeup and ribbons to wear, but her shrewd shopping techniques mean she is the Koopaling Iggy and Ludwig turn to when they require supplies for their monstrous creations. As far as she is concerned, only she should be allowed to wear pink, meaning that she is not on the best terms with Peach, Pom Pom or Kushina, the Pink Ranger. "Pink only works on me, so STOP COPYING ME!"
Larry - Played by Eureka
Larry Koopa is the youngest Koopaling, only being older than Bowser Jr.. This makes him the subject of sibling bullying, with the other kids often pressuring him to do things he doesn't want to do. The only Koopas to look out for him are his brother Lemmy, who isn't quite as bad as the others, and the Magikoopas Kamek and Kammy, who treat him like a parent treats their son. In fact, Kamek taught Larry how to make minions grow to enormous size, which is why the Rangers need Mecha in the first place!
Roy - Played by Ragnarok
Roy is one tough cookie. Unlike the other Koopalings, who hide behind monsters and let them do the fighting, Roy is content to simply take on the Rangers mano-a-mano. His combat skills are quite extraordinary for a turtle, and he usually chooses one Ranger to battle at a time. Ultimately, this one Ranger is almost always the Purple Ranger!
Lemmy - Played by ReverseInverse
Lemmy is one kooky cookie. With his crazy personality and expert ball-riding skills, he should be in a circus act! He devises the plans to take down the Rangers, and often creates some concept guidelines for a monster to battle them. Iggy and Ludwig use these guidelines to create a monster, but they often add their own personal tweaks to make their monsters 'unique' and give them 'my sense of style', which means that one tiny detail on the plan is removed or changed, causing it to unravel completely! Lemmy chooses ReverseInverse, the Orange Ranger, as his enemy, simply because "the others each have a nemesis, and Orange is all that's left!"
Next up, info on the rest of the Koopa Troop's key players: Kamek, Kammy, Boom Boom, Pom Pom and Bowser's elite minions!

Just a quick update to the Orange Ranger's bio. Now that Boom Boom is going to be a character in the story, I realised it'd make less sense for him to have a Boom Boom Mech. I realised that the Orange Ranger's helmet already looks a lot like a Monty Mole, so now the Orange Ranger's Mech is a subterranean, monster-bashing machine!
And with that, here's some info on the rest of the Koopa Troop's key players.
Kamek - Played by mieu-fire
Kamek the Magikoopa is Bowser's right-hand handservant, catering to his king's every whim and desire. His talents for magic involve creating minions to battle the Rangers, from Goombas and Koopa Troopas to Buzzy Beetles and Spinies. Kamek eventually swears vengeance on the Black Ranger, who destroys his favourite wand while in metal form.
Kammy - Played by Clannad
Kamella 'Kammy' Koopa is Bowser's left-hand handservant, catering to her king's every whim and desire. Her magical spells are used for amplifying the strength of ordinary minions, making it tougher for the Rangers to squash Goombas and clobber Koopa Troopas.
Boom Boom
The brute known as Boom Boom is thick as a stack of bricks, often using shorter sentences with fewer prepositions and other important words. Whenever the Rangers hear "Boom Boom PUMMEL Rangers!", they know that he's about to spin like a tornado, swinging his fists in a constant flurry and heading straight for them!
Pom Pom
Pom Pom is Bowser's other go-to solution for some much-needed muscle, though she usually prefers to attack the Rangers from a distance. Her boomerang-throwing skills surpass those of even the Boomerang Bros., and she is also quite strong just like Boom Boom. Unlike the dim-witted Boom Boom, however, Pom Pom is fairly intelligent, often teasing the Rangers with friendly banter.
The Hammer Bros., Boomerang Bros., and Fire Bros.
These item-wielding turtles are Bowser's favourite minions who aren't his children, the Magikoopas, or the brutes Boom Boom and Pom Pom. He usually puts them into battles in which he has the advantage, meaning the Rangers supposedly have no chance of victory. They each have different methods of combat: The green-shelled Hammer Bros. throw hammers and work in tandem with each other, the blue-shelled Boomerang Bros. throw boomerangs and flank their foes, and the red-shelled Fire Bros. throw fireballs from a safe distance. They are amongst the toughest minions for the Rangers to defeat, making them especially-valuable commodities for Bowser. However, this means that Bowser is forced to use them sparingly given their elite status and low numbers.

Here's the Pink Ranger as she appears in Power Rangers: Mushroom Force:
Now, I'm fully aware that nearly all of the people who have expressed interest in this game are male, and only one female has expressed interest in actually playing the Pink Ranger. Therefore, I have created a backup Ranger colour just in case a male intends to play the part:
See that? It's an alternate option to the Pink Ranger suited for a male actor. This particular Ranger goes by the name of Magenta Ranger, but otherwise has the same power of flight as the feminine Pink Ranger. I hope this will mean more people may consider participating in the game.

Well, now's the time to post information on each of the Worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom!
Grass World
Key Locations: Princess Peach's Castle, Gadd University, One One Plains, Bob-Omb Mountain
Grass World, a verdant field covered with dome-topped mountains underneath a clear, blue sky. This is where the very first humans from Earth ended up after journeying through their computer monitors, and it's where Rukiafan found his Star Coin, which transformed him into the Yellow Ranger. Prof. Gadd hid the Yellow Ranger's Koopa Troopa Mecha in Grass World, inside an underground cavern. The Chargin' Chuck Mecha is hidden underneath an abandoned sporting stadium near Bob-omb Battlefield.
Desert World
Key Locations: Dry Dry Desert, Shifting Sand Land
The hot, arid sands of Desert World are a harsh place for anybody, even the Rangers! ReverseInverse, the Orange Ranger, found his Star Coin here, and it's the location of the Monty Mole Mecha, hidden underneath a giant stone monolith.
Ocean World
Key Locations: Sunshine Isles, Jolly Roger Bay
If there's a better place for a holiday in the Mushroom Kingdom, nobody's found it! The clear blue waters of Ocean World are a popular holiday location, with a multitude of resort islands and reefs to explore and enjoy. Kushina, the Pink Ranger, transported her Star Coin from the Sunshine Isles, which is where her Cheep Cheep Mecha is located.
Jungle World
Key Locations: Hazy Maze Cave, Wet-Dry World
Jungle World can be quite dangerous at times, home to Skeeters, Piranha Plants of every description, and the aquatic Dorries. Marioman found the Red Star Coin while he, BurstDash and GamerZack were threatened by Kraken Piranha in Hazy Maze Cave, and his Piranha Plant Mecha can be found nestled in the dense jungle. The Boo Mecha is located in a Ghost House, in a secret room which can't be found by anybody except Gadd and the Rangers.
Ice World
Key Locations: Cool Cool Mountain, Sherbet Land
It can get pretty cold here in Ice World! The entire area seems to be locked in an ice age, making it the perfect home for penguins. High up on Cool Cool Mountain, Eureka, the Cyan Ranger, found her Star Coin, while the Blooper Mecha is found in the freezing-cold waters of Sherbet Land.
Mountain World
Key Locations: Tall Tall Mountain, Whomp's Fortress
Mountain World is a mountainous region located in a far corner of the Mushroom Kingdom, with the kingdom's highest peaks all located here. BurstDash, the Green Ranger, claimed his Star Coin from Ukiki on Tall Tall Mountain, which is where the Dino Rhino Mecha is located. The Bullet Bill Mecha is located atop Whomp's Fortress.
Cloud World
Key Locations: Rainbow Ride, Sky Garden
High up in the sky is Cloud World, a vast realm of clouds located above the Mushroom Kingdom. It is here that GamerZack accidentally found the Blue Star Coin, and it is here that the Spiny Mecha and Lakitu Carrier are located.
Lava World
Key Locations: Lethal Lava Land
This is by far the Mushroom Kingdom's most inhospitable location; so inhospitable, in fact, that no Mecha are located here as the heat would affect the integrity of their metal hulls. As such, the Koopa Troop rarely attacks this area, as there would be nothing to gain since the Koopa Kingdom has a similar environment already!

I request to be the white Power Ranger my helmet looks like a boo and doesn't cover my face and I have the power to heal!
My mecha looks like a boo and has the power to become invisible.
I would like my character to look similar to Nagisa Furukawa.
She is the character in my avatar and signature.
I came up with this character because every role playing game needs a healer. I don't need a nemesis because I'm a healer not a fighter although I can support allies with barriers on top of my healing powers!

The White Ranger? How did you find out about her?! Ah, it's okay. I actually have a White Ranger in the pipeline, but she wasn't going to appear until the second story arc. But just for you, I'll fix it so the Black and White Rangers appear earlier than planned, so I'll update the episode schedule and character roster to reflect this. Welcome aboard, Clannad!Clαππαd wrote:I request to be the white Power Ranger my helmet looks like a boo and doesn't cover my face and I have the power to heal!

I should let you know that the White Ranger originally had the power of the Vanish Cap (meaning she could turn invisible), but I'll give her healing powers instead if you'd like. I guess that means her power would be derived from the 3-Up Moon now.
I'll get right on it.Clαππαd wrote:I would like my character to look similar to Nagisa Furukawa.

By the way, once you give me details about the hair colour, hairstyle and skin tone you'd like your avatar to have I'll rustle it up for you. If you'd like to request some specific clothing, that'd be great too. Just remember that the predominant clothing colour for him would likely be orange.

Most of the Rangers' uniforms are similar in many ways. The first nine Rangers have helmets which completely cover their faces, shaped to resemble a creature found in the Mushroom Kingdom (except the Green Ranger's helmet, which is shaped to resemble a creature native to Chocolate Island in Dinosaur Land). The helmet of Clannad, the White Ranger, is also shaped like a creature found in the Mushroom Kingdom, but her helmet has a key difference to the others'. Namely, her helmet does not cover her face.
The Star Coins are usually depicted in the order GREEN-MAGENTA-CYAN-YELLOW-PURPLE-ORANGE-RED-BLUE-BLACK-WHITE, but it was the White Star Coin which Gadd created first. As such, the White Ranger's helmet and powers are decidedly different to the others'. Rather than being infused with the power of a common item, the White Star Coin gets its power directly from its Rainbow Star, which not only allows Clannad to become temporarily invulnerable, but to pass that invulnerability onto her friends as well.

Iggy Koopa's monsters are pretty tough when they're regular size, but they become a colossal problem when Larry enlarges them to a gigantic scale! Fortunately, the Rangers have an arsenal of gigantic robots called "Gaddmecha", also known simply as "Mecha". Each Ranger has his or her own personal Mecha with its own unique qualities. In addition, the Blue Ranger's Mecha is carried and deployed by the Lakitu Carrier. If a monster proves too tough for the individual Mecha to handle, they can combine into multiple "Super Mecha" forms, with three or more Mecha combining into a larger robot form.
The Dino Rhino is the Green Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic dinosaur with two different modes. The first mode allows the Dino Rhino to shoot a jet of flame, but it is easily thrown about in this mode. It is able to convert into a heavily-armoured second mode, which allows it to tackle into a threat but causes it to lose its flame breath. This Mecha forms the legs and waist of Super Mecha Aquasaur.
The Cheep Cheep is the Pink Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic fish capable of spraying a powerful stream of water at foes, as well as being able to leap great distances through the air to perform a powerful belly-flop. This Mecha forms the arms and head of Super Mecha Aquasaur.
The Blooper is the Cyan Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic squid which is able to shoot an immobilising goop at foes, a clear gel which hardens and makes it difficult for the foe to move. It can also latch onto foes with its strong tentacles. This Mecha forms the torso of Super Mecha Aquasaur.
The Koopa Troopa is the Yellow Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic turtle which crawls on all fours. It is capable of curling into its shell and spinning into a foe, which can cause some damage when it tag-teams with the Spiny Mecha! This Mecha forms the right leg, right lower torso and head of Super Mecha Tortoflame.
The Chargin' Chuck is the Purple Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic athlete who throws explosive footballs and charges straight into gigantic monsters. This Mecha forms the torso and legs of Super Mecha Rockstorm.
The Monty Mole is the Orange Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic rodent which can burrow through the ground and damage foes with its huge claws. This Mecha forms the right arm, right foot and head of Super Mecha Rockstorm.
The Piranha Plant is the Red Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic plant with a powerful bite. It is also able to spit spiked orbs and fireballs at foes. This Mecha forms the upper torso and arms of Super Mecha Tortoflame.
The Spiny is the Blue Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic beetle which can curl into its shell and slide at high-speed into a foe, which increases in strength when it tag-teams with the Koopa Troopa Mecha. This Mecha forms the left leg and left lower torso of Super Mecha Tortoflame
The Bullet Bill is the Black Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic bullet which can fly at high-speed straight into a foe. This Mecha forms the right arm and right foot of Super Mecha Rockstorm.
The Boo is the White Ranger's personal Mecha, a giant robotic ghost which can turn invisible and sustain strong hits. This Mecha forms into armour for the Super Mecha.

Just a quick update to reveal a minor change to my character. As you all know, this is how I used to look in the show:
This was intended to represent me in the show. The problem is that, while I am a little chubby in real life, I am also abnormally tall (roughly 6' 7"), so people usually notice my height rather than my weight. Thus, I modified my avatar to reflect this:
The changes I made were very minor, but I'm sure that they make me appear tall. I kept my belly slightly wider than the other characters though. I also made my avatar look a bit more 'anime-like' by changing the hairstyle.
I also noticed an error with Clannad's avatar:
The avatar I uploaded was unfinished, as I forgot to add an outline to her scarf, so I added the outline to make it more distinguished:
I apologise for the mistake, Clannad. I hope you'll forgive me for it.
Okay, be sure to post any thoughts about the updates, or anything to do with the show, right here.
"See you next time!"

Each of the Rangers has their own individual powers, which are drawn from an infusion of a power-up. Each Star Coin also contains a Rainbow Star, which is tuned to tap-in to a certain colour. The interesting thing is that each of the Rainbow Stars is from a different galaxy, and the colour determined by the elemental properties of each one. This gives each Ranger access to a latent ability tied to an element:
GREEN RANGER
Element: Nature
Galaxy: Yoshi Star Galaxy
PINK RANGER
Element: Air
Galaxy: Cloudy Court Galaxy
CYAN RANGER
Element: Ice
Galaxy: Freezy Flake Galaxy
YELLOW RANGER
Element: Electricity
Galaxy: Space Storm Galaxy
PURPLE RANGER
Element: Rock
Galaxy: Spin-Dig Galaxy
ORANGE RANGER
Element: Earth
Galaxy: Slipsand Galaxy
RED RANGER
Element: Fire
Galaxy: Melty Monster Galaxy
BLUE RANGER
Element: Water
Galaxy: Cosmic Cove Galaxy
BLACK RANGER
Element: Metal
Galaxy: Sky Station Galaxy
WHITE RANGER
Element: Light
Galaxy: Gateway Galaxy
Gadd received the Rainbow Stars from an unknown source, with their intent being that he use them for the greater good of the Mushroom World.

Thank you, KingreX. I wanted to use an avatar that portrayed my soon-to-be role as the Blue Ranger in a dramatic fashion. I may just do some other awesome promotional artwork for the show as well. I may even change up the banner for a future story arc.KingreX32 wrote:nice new avatar

When the monsters grow to a colossal size, the Rangers have no choice but to summon their Mecha, gigantic robots modelled after various Mushroom World enemies. To prevent just anybody from riding a Mecha, each Ranger's Star Coin can transform into a Key, which is needed to activate the Mecha in question.

Just a quick update regarding the schedule of the show. We're finally up to the first giant monster battle of the series! Rukiafan, the Yellow Ranger, must pilot his Koopa Troopa Mecha against an oversized Big Koopa with fire breath. It's turtle vs. turtle - who will emerge victorious? If you haven't already, check out the first season of Power Rangers: Mushroom Force and find out what's been happening throughout the first episode of the show. If you'd like to play a part, be sure to check the first post of this thread for a list of character roles you can play, including five Ranger + Koopaling roles to fill. Of course, you're welcome to request the role of another Mario-themed character, but be sure to let us know which parts you'd like to play in this thread before posting in the Season 1 thread!

More or less, GreenWithEnvy. I modelled bits of the series on the old-school Power Rangers seasons.
Would you like to join the fun?

Just a heads-up to let you know my plans for Season 2 of Mushroom Force. Due to a change of direction for my character at the start of the second season, there will be a new Blue Ranger. I will still be in the show, but I won't be playing the Blue Ranger. I don't want to spoil too much, but if you're interested in becoming my successor then feel free to show your interest. The second season deals with a great quest across the Mushroom World, with new characters and powers. And just what is the Koopa Troop planning for the heroes? Power Rangers: Mushroom Force X, coming soon!

Welcome aboard, Kushina! I took the liberty of making a human form image of your character, which I modelled slightly after Kushina Uzumaki. I also created a Pink Ranger image using the new female Ranger template I created. I hope you like them! If you'd like me to make changes to your human form image, then please let me know.

Update time! The Power Rangers: Mushroom Force game, Blue Power, now has a sequel! In Green Power, the Green Ranger's holographic doppelgängers are running amok around Gadd's lab. Can you find the true Green Ranger and call him to action? There are some hidden Easter Eggs in the game too. See if you can find them!
Anybody with a Wii and WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase can receive both Blue Power and Green Power, provided we exchange Wii Addresses first. More updates to come!

At last, we may finally have a new Green Ranger for the show! With this breakthrough, the series can finally make some decent progress.
With the pilot episode drawing to a satisfying conclusion, we'll be able to move on to episode 2. This is Marioman's showcase episode, in which he, along with myself and the future Green Ranger, end up lost in the mysterious Pipe Maze. The quirky scientist Iggy Koopa has created a fearsome monster and released it into the maze to try and defeat the humans before they can find the Red Star Coin. With his friends in danger, Marioman must find the coin and become the Red Mushroom Ranger. But can the newest hero defeat Kraken Piranha? Find out in Rumble in the Piranha Jungle, the next exciting episode of Power Rangers: Mushroom Force!
See you next time!

Welcome aboard, Eureka!
Well, we now have just one Ranger role left to fill, and that is the role of the Purple Ranger. I wonder who will become the Ranger who has the power of the Hammer and pilots the Thwomp Mecha. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
By the way, mieu-fire and Eureka...how would you like your human forms to look? Your clothes would likely incorporate black and cyan, respectively, and I'm curious about details such as hair style/colour and gender. Then I can work on creating your artwork.
