Double The Fun!
SEGA just released Super Hang-On for the Wii Virtual Console and now according to an entry in SEGA's blog not one, but two Virtual Console games are headed to North America next Thursday, which is something that hasn't happened for a couple years on the service, at least in North America!
The games that were mentioned are Wonderboy In Monsterland for Virtual Console Arcade which was already released for the Master System.
The other game that will hit the service next week is one many of you may have been waiting for. The game is none other than the formerly rumored Wonderboy IV which is an import game from Japan that SEGA has fully localized just for Wii Virtual Console service!
A SEGA representative also stated that Europe might get these games next week as well!
Authors comment: Finally a great Virtual Console week with two fantastic games! What are your thoughts about this Virtual Console bonanza?

Sorry for not posting for such a long time.
I'm glad the service is picking back after such a long drought.

I love the Wonder Boy series, I have all 5 on Wii VC.
1. 8/10 Wonder Boy (SEGA Master System)
2. 8/10 Wonder Boy in Monster Land (SEGA Master System)
3. 9/10 Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap (SEGA Master System)
4. 7/10 Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair (SEGA Mega Drive)
5. 9/10 Wonder Boy in Monster World (SEGA Mega Drive)
6. ?/10 Monster World IV (SEGA Mega Drive)
7. ?/10 Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Virtual Console Arcade)
Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Virtual Console Arcade) is actually the original arcade version of the second Wonder Boy game which was also released on Master System (not Mega Drive - sorry Brian, corrected the first post).
Monster World IV is the sixth game in the series, and yeah, they could have called it Wonder Girl.
There are still some Wonder Boy games / versions that could hit the VC, some of them being the superior arcade versions.
8. Wonder Boy (Virtual Console Arcade)
9. Super Wonder Boy (Virtual Console Arcade)
10. Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair (Virtual Console Arcade)
11. Wonder Boy in Monster World (SEGA Master System)
Heck, they could even release
12. Wonder Boy (Commodore 64)
13. Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Commodore 64)
but I doubt it.

Agreed! I'm hoping EU sees some of that light too.
