Nintendo eShop Undergoing Maintenance

This thread will be all about keeping track on this phenomenon.

As of April 24, 2012, [11:52 pm pt] the Nintendo eShop is currently undergoing maintenance. I can almost smell the new firmware update

I hope there are some unannounced features as well, but at least the new eShop functions and folders will be useful.

The Wii Shop is undergoing maintenance as well.

I wonder what the menu is going to look like after we receive the update?

Update [Ver. 4.0.0-7U] now available and Nintendo eShop is back online with a new look.

I'm liking the new look. Having the important stuff at the bottom is a good step. Here's hoping for gifting next update.

The only thing Nintendo did to the Wii Shop was the made the fonts slightly larger "I think" lol.

Boring case scenario: Just setting up the New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coin Rush Packs

Best case scenario: Preparation for digit retail on previous first-party releases which most of them will release on November 1st in Japan.

Awesome case scenario: Rumors for GBA virtual Console during tomorrow's Europe's Nintendo Direct coming true.

The Coin Rush download packs is my guess.

It's not the DLC because other regions already got the DLC and they to are going under matinance. My guess it's to transfer the 3DS cartridge data to your SD card or (crosses fingers) GBA games finally

I haven't checked yet, but is the eshop back online?
