Superheroes or Superzeroes?
You get to play as many different heroes from the Marvel multiverse in a battle to save the earth in this action RPG, but is it a fun romp or a boring and tedious snorefest?
Story and Gameplay
The story centers around the Marvel supervillains teaming up and causing all sorts of trouble on earth and beyond, and it's your job as a team of superheroes to bring them to justice!
The gameplay is fairly straightforward you must battle enemies to level up, and find equipment, as well as boosting your heroes powers, but despite this simplicity the beat'em up battles are very fun, and the boss battles in particular can be quite challenging.
There are over 30 heroes to play as that are unlocked during the story as well as several secret characters that are harder to unlock.
The game is fairly long compared to its X-men Legends predecessor's as it will likely take the average person more than 15 hours to finish!
Graphics and Sounds
The character models are only slightly better than those used in the Gamecube X-men Legends games, and the levels don't look much prettier either, however this game features nearly an hour of pre rendered scenes which look fantastic for an older Wii game, and frankly looks better than the X-box/PS2 versions of the game!
The game has a great soundtrack and really sets the mood for the whole superhero theme! Each track is very good, and there isn't much to complain about.
The game also features a ton of voice acting which despite not being done by the voice actors from the cartoons they sound very close.
Bottom line- If you like simple action RPG's or beat'em ups with a solid story, excellent gameplay, and a great soundtrack you could do alot worse than picking up a copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
Score- ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 7.5/10
7- Good This game may have a few flaws or may have somewhat shoddy controls, or minor sound/graphics flaws, but the game itself should be fun if you like the genre, and can overlook the potential flaws!

The latest Marvel game I played was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The only Marvel title I kept in my library was Spiderman: Friend or Foe. A lot of people hate this game but me and my friends just couldn't stop playing. I've heard a lot of negative stuff about Ultimate Alliance. I haven't played it myself, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Its a pretty good game. It just get repetative and boring after a few hours.

Is this the game that was supposed to have Samus and Link? I seem to recall something about that. Anyway, good review, I'm glad to see this is a solid game since it's so cheap these days. Might have to give it a go, even though I'm not usually into this sort of thing.
