I got some gaming goodies from my parents: a shiny new PS Vita and a game called Tearaway. I can't play it yet because the shopkeeper didn't tell my parents that a Memory Card is required. Still, I'm thankful for the gift. I wonder if I'll receive any Nintendo goodies later today, though I'm very excited to give my brother his $30 eShop Card!

Ooh, I'm actually starting to look forward to the Christmas ham!

Oh, for those who don't know, Aussies traditionally eat a leg of ham at Christmas lunch instead of turkey, although lately we've begun incorporating turkey into our menus as well. Most Aussie families also eat loads of prawns!

My family always eats premium steak, shrimp, and lobster with numerous sides for our Christmas gathering.

For dessert, my parents make their special recipe for trifle, which is a pudding consisting of alternating layers of sponge fingers soaked in jelly, custard, whipped cream and fruit. It's so good and is always a popular finisher to a fantastic meal.

Christmas in my old hometown often sees temperatures of at least 30°C, though usually higher.
