I would say definitely. PS2 games have already come to the PS3 as downloadables, and Sony continues to support older games via the PlayStation Network PSOne classics and such. Surely a new console with more power will be able to handle it if the current PS3 can do the job. From what I'm reading, the Vita can handle PS2 emulation as well. I think it's a given.
