eShop 72 focuses on the latest download releases, both new and classics, appearing on the Nintendo eShop (North America). Showing you how well they’re doing during the first 72 hours on the service from Thursday, August 23 9:00am, to Sunday, August 26 9:00am PDT.
One new release this week on the Nintendo eShop is VectorRacing. VectorRacing is a racing game (personal time trails is the only treat) with retro vector graphics from the early arcade machines that are right at home on the 3DS stereoscopic screen, more on that later in my upcoming review. 72 hours after launch, Vector racing is in 18th place in “Recent Releases” when filter by 3DS (download) and in “4 star status” with 16 ratings.
One new DSiware release this week is Abyss. Not worth discussing the details since there is zero ratings for this game, 72 hours after launch.
A week after launch, New Super Mario Bros. 2 is still at number 1 in “Recent Ratings” for all downloadable software. Ranking up in “All Software” overall downloads chart at 14th place when filter by 3DS (download). Ranking down in “All User Ratings” chart for All Software at 4th place with 4902 ratings. The current top three are Kingdom Hearts 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Coincidentally, these three are all great demonstrations for the 3DS XL.
I’ll be checking back new process on the Nintendo eShop next week and remember to post your welcoming thoughts at the comment section below.

I already downloaded Abyss, and I can't really complain. It only cost $2 and should take awhile to complete 100%, because the game is fairly difficult. It's very simplistic visually and gameplay wise, but it still provides an enjoyable experience. If you thought the Dam level in TMNT was difficult, you should try traversing this underwater world.
