Famitsu has just reported that Sega will be pulling Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from the Wii Virtual Console. Only the Mega Drive/Genesis games are being pulled, and only the Wii VC. Other Sonic games have not yet been reported to be pulled, but it seems unlikely they will be pulled.

Even though Nintendo confirmed that Directs will still be a thing back in Sep, many people wondered if they would wait until January or not. Well today President Kimishima confermed one is due this year, when it is he didn't say, or whether or not it would come before our big holiday release on Nov. 20, but one would assume it would come before that day.

Fun With Axes!



Indie developer Matthias Falk opened a Kickstarter campaign for his latest project Super Axe Boy, that boasts a unique combination of 2D and 3D platforming gameplay that has players use an axe to defeat enemies and create new pathways.

The game needs $28,410 to reach its initial goal, but will need to reach €60,000 to come to the Wii U.

Bonk's Adventure for the TG-16 has been ESRB rated for release on the Wii U Virtual Console service meaning that a North American release of the game is very likely this week. If true, this will mark the first third party console to be added to the Wii U Virtual Console service in the western hemisphere.
