Anyone still play their Wii U?

So...I managed to get a shiny new Wii U console, and I was wondering if any of you still play yours. I'm eager to friend some of you!

I may not own more than a handful of games atm, but I'm looking to expand my library.

You can't send friend requests anymore now that Miiverse has been shutdown mate. That said, yes I still play on mine, but the majority of the time I use it as an internet browser.

@Grumblevolcano Same here. Also WTF was Nintendo thinking tying the friend request feature to Miiverse?!

I sadly don’t play mine anymore, Switch has taken over and I’ve sucome to rebuying games I wanted to play on the go bad enough

UPDATE: Apparently, it's a simple case of going into your Friends list, clicking on "Register Friend", then entering the Nintendo Network ID of the friend in question. When both of you have done this, you'll have added each other to your Friends list.

Apparently, this method of adding friends has existed since the Wii U's dream-within-a-dream-within-a-dream inception, which means that friend requests on Miiverse were but one of many (well, two) ways to friend your...uh...friends.

I’m thinking of selling my WiiU, but I don’t know how much I’d get for it or how I’d be able to sell my collection of digital games at a decent price. It’s just hard because I’m rebuying a lot of WiiU and 3DS games in my Switch because they’re DX versions and having them on the TV when normally on the go or visa versa is great

@KokorOtaku You would get $75 tops for the console and maybe $50 extra for the games. Unfortunately you can get a fine of up to $2,500 if you're found out and secondly your NNID would be at the mercy of whomever you sold your console to.

@KokorOtaku LordJumpMad is right. It is illegal to sell your system bundled with digital games. There is a steep fine and jailtime is possible too. =(

@GeekyGamerZack @KokorOtaku My Wii U AC Adapter should be arriving tomorrow. I might also need to purchase a USB 2.0 cable as well since Lacey also chewed my Wii U's HDD USB cable as well "though the damage is far less severe".

@Reanfan Sure do! I currently own at least a couple of online multiplayer-enabled Wii U Games, which are Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon. I play my Wii U a few times a week, mostly for Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, and Wii games

Not as often now that I have a Switch, but I will still play it every now-and-then!

I've been playing a Hyrule lot of WWHD and, to a lesser extent, TPHD and OoT over the past couple of weeks. I've also been crafting a Zelda-themed set using Magic Set Editor and working out ideas for a second attempt at a Hyrule-based D&D campaign, so...

Heh... I just realised that Crowler (from FOP) and Tingle are both 30-something guys with an obsession for fairies. What...? Why are you all staring at me? I'm not obsessed with fairies... well... not just fairies, anyway... sh-shut up. I know you are, but what a Maiamai?

OKAY, you've made your point without having said a word! Now who wants some fairy cakes?

I just played Xenoblade Chronicles X again, the other day.

That reminds me... I should redownload Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and get back into playing it... and purchase Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and start playing it... and try to get into the first Divine Beast in Breath of the Wild (over three years later, and I’m STILL stuck outside Vah Ruta... )

Okay, I’ve gone WAY off topic, blabbing about games on my not-Wii U...

I'm still playing through Xenoblade Chronicles X. Great game marred by nigh unreadable text unless you game on a massive TV. On my old 32 incher the text was so small it caused permanent damage to my eyes, but on my 50 incher it is a doable size.

Oh and @BlueWaverJack32 Zelda BoTW counts as the Switch version is identical to the Wii U version.

Oh, and I need some recommendations, @All. If you had a choice between Star Fox Zero... which would you choose? :StarFox:

@MechaFreiza Thanks for the confirmation. I tried the demo and found the controls to be nowhere near as bad as others claim, though I figure a lot of it was caused by the usual baseless opinion bandwagon...

Only very rarely, sadly. I need to change that.

I still play on occasion. It's mostly relegated to Virtual Console and the handful of Wii U games that are still console exclusive. Retro gaming is still too cool!
