Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Takai

Jett Rocket II is now available on the NA 3DS eShop. It was only announced in the EU Nintendo Direct, but it is also available for download in NA.

It was shown in the North American Nintendo Direct during the eshop sizzle reel, but they didn't mention that the game was already available on the eshop...also they mis-spelled Jett Rocket II as Jet Rocket II.

I downloaded this last night. I wasn't feeling well, so I didn't get to play it much. It's been a pretty good game, so far. I think it'll be more enjoyable to play, when I'm feeling better.

Is the gameplay similar to the first Jett Rocket game?

I'm certainly waiting for some reviews before touching this game. I know its from Shinen and all, but you never can tell if you're buying rubbish at times. :3

Yes, I would say some of it is reminiscent of the original game.

@Nintenbro You can contact me on the email I sent you via PM if you want. Hopefully Miiverse will come with PMs as well, but it won't be a group chat though, just 1-to-1. But it will be awesome to setup games without having to go through another app.

Yeah, Nintendo has confirmed that MiiVerse for the 3DS will not support friend requests or feature a PM system. Wow! Well, I'm not too excited about MiiVerse anymore. This sucks!

I am actually getting fed up with Nintendo. Stop being so restrictive, every other condole out there let's people message their friends. Just urgh... I'm not too miffed about not adding people via Miiverse. But no messaging at all?

I would definitely wait. I downloaded it the first day and I've gotten the blank screen that everyone has been getting once you die. And so far I only got through the first few levels, but right now it feels a little bit mediocre.

Hopefully NLs review will be up within a few days, they're usually right on the money with games. But I'm too busy with MH3U and Zelda coming out next week I won't have much time to be playing anything else. Still want to pick up Pokémon at some point.

It'd be best to save your money for Zelda. I'll be picking up both Zelda and the new Mario game before winter layoff.

But I would play through more of Jet Rockett, but I don't want to keep replaying levels because of the black screen glitch. So hopefully they patch that up real quick.

Yeah. Once you die the screen will turn black and you'll have to start over. I know a few other people that this has happened to.

That sounds like a really bad bug

Welcome back RoryLee! Longtime no see!

I haven't died yet, but I haven't really played the game much. I will agree with RoryLee, the game does feel pretty medicore. I'd still recommend it to anyone who was a fan of the WiiWare original, though. It's just kind of difficult to recommend the game to anyone.

RoryLee, I haven't experienced the black screen of death yet, but I'm sure Shin'en will release a patch soon. It's really great to have you back with us! Since SwapNote was disabled, and MiiVerse for 3DS won't feature a messaging system, I have no other way of contacting you. Other than sending you an email, but it's much easier to check these forums for new posts than it is to check for emails.

I would have thought Shinen would release a patch soon. Its a shame how gaming is going from "release a perfect game" to "release a game, fix it later"... Call of Duty is a brilliant example of this.

But I'll hold off and by Zelda instead, this game just looks boring.

By the way, Nintygaming has been shut down... No point keeping that open.

I'm not very far in, but a bit disappointed that it is mostly 2D platforming instead of 3D. But maybe it well get better later on.

There's an update for this game available in the eShop. I didn't receive a notification, when I logged into the eShop. I didn't receive a notification, when I searched for available updates in the eShop settings. When I search for Jett Rocket II and click on the icon, what do I see? A tab at the bottom of the screen that says, "To Update Screen". WTF?! What the hell is the purpose of a having the update search feature in the eShop settings? The damn thing don't work for s***!

Anyways, there's an update for Jett Rocket II available...
